  • Facebook 101: This tutorial was created to get you up to speed on how to create, use, and maintain a Facebook page of your own.
  • Forgot your Facebook password?: Did you forget your Facebook password? Having trouble logging in? Or did you forget the email address for your Facebook login? Maybe your email account is not working, so you can't change your password. Or maybe it's something with a simple fix. Here's the scoop on Facebook and password issues...

Be Secure on the Internet

Stay Secure

  • Sidejacking: Sidejacking is slang for "session hijacking," a technique that lets one user literally steal the current Web session of another.
  • Missing link in computer security: Is your computer really secure? If you have antivirus software, malware scanners and a firewall, you might think you're safe from hackers, crackers and identity thieves. But chances are, you're missing one critical piece of the security puzzle. Read on to learn how to secure your software and truly lock down your computer...
  • Viruses in PDF files?: Many people are surprised to learn they can also be infected by .pdf files - the ubiquitous Portable Document Format, made popular by Adobe.

Hide Stuff

  • Password Safe: I've used it for years. Stores your login username/passwords, will create passwords as complex as needed, will remember all those weird passwords some sites require (how many "&" and "$" can you remember?). You only need remember the one password to log in to Password Safe.
  • TrueCrypt: Use TrueCrypt to encrypt data on USB or Flash drives, or external hard drives. Encrypt data you really don't want anybody to read, except yourself. (I would have loved this as a young girl, to keep my brothers from reading my diary!)

Browse Anonymously

  • Vidalia: There are others out there, some that have a fee, some that are free. Some are more secure than others, some are harder to use than others. I like this one. It's free, it's fairly secure, it's fairly easy to set up, fairly easy to use. I'm not a superspy hacker dude, I just want to be able to surf some places somewhat untraceably. Vidalia does the job.
  • A pretty decent guide to things TOR.
